DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
LSU junior linebacker Kevin Minter totaled 12 tackles, two quarterback hurries. one quarterback sack, one interception and broke up one pass in 6th-ranked LSU's 24-19 comeback win against 20th-ranked Texas A&M. With the victory, LSU improved to 7-1, 4-1 in the Southeastern Conference.

"LSU recruits a lot of the top players in the nation. When I came here, I was like 'man, am I going to be able to make it?' I just kept at it, told myself I can be a starter here. I just had to put it in my mind. You just have to have the confidence. Everybody has the talent, that's why they recruited you."
